Our 48-hour hummus process: more than a quick blend

General hummus preparation includes soaking and cooking chickpeas before blending with tahini and seasoning. The preparation time belongs to the overall process; it does not mean hummus is left at room temperature.

Taste hummus with bread, then beside a vegetable dish or grilled main. Its role can shift from a shared starter to an accompaniment that connects several parts of a meal.

Ask about current ingredients when ordering for someone with allergies. Hummus commonly includes tahini, which is made from sesame.

A smooth dip does not need every ingredient to be invisible

A dip can have a smooth base while still carrying a visible finishing ingredient. A garnish or drizzle adds a different element from something blended into the body. Reading the description helps distinguish the core preparation from the finish, which matters for both taste and ingredient questions.

Ask about the base and the garnish separately if you need to know where a particular ingredient appears.
